aka #Dotorimuk-muchim #도토리묵
SO
I bought some from #HMart a few weeks ago
*and I was supposed to eat it a few weeks ago accd.ing to the EXP date)
but have finally made time to eat it today!
It's still good!
Thanks to #Maangchi to always posting great recipes
AND EXPLANATIONS
(had no idea what perilla leaves were and yes, they look very similar to shiso *which I love dearly*)
Maangchi's recipe
so from her recipe I made my sauce.

Conclusion:
So it wasn't as soft but that is probably due to the jelly being 2 weeks past the time I should have consumed it.
Other than that it was fine. It didn't spoil. Just got a little tough on the outside. Hence, why I sliced off the dark spots.
The red pepper flakes I used were bought in 2010, stored in an airtight container.
They still have kick lol
Do not recommend for those who can't handle the kick.
As I tore it with my fingertips, I was worried about how I am supposed to wash my face tonight...
I am still worried lol
The most time consuming part of making the sauce is gathering everything and chopping/mincing as necessary.
I left my seeds in there bc I am just going to cover and use this as a dipping sauce for a few days.
When I put it all together I placed the sauce in a bowl, placed some jelly on top, placed some more sauce, then stirred it around.
Her website reads to mix by hand, but I prefer to stir, and I hate touching my food lol.
Cleaning, chopping, and mincing is good enough for me!
BTW IT WAS SO DIFFICULT TO OPEN THE SESAME OIL D:
I was feeling really bad about myself D':
Go try it too!
