So I have never bought from #GlowRecipe before.
Always thought about it,
watched their videos
(sometimes multiple times).
I still buy a majority of my skincare/makeup from #Sephora.
The return policy makes life less stressful.
And I can't color match my skin worth my life.
And,
if you are anything like me,
you are on your phone for 3hours
what looks like aimlessly wandering
or a potential shrink issue to anxious Sephora cast
googling/amazoning/#EWC-ing
ingredients
and comparative pricing
before you drop $300.
(I don't buy in store often, but when I do I make it worthwhile)
For example
I returned Guerlain KissKiss Roselip and Givenchy Hydra Sparkling Magic Lip and Cheek Balm because I couldn't find the full ingredients on the outer packaging or online descriptions
and after I purchased there were just things I could not be ok with putting on my face.
I like how Glow Recipe
even though their return policy is not as strong as Sephora
(I assume due to being a smaller company and margins/losses/etc would be crazy if the return policy was as lenient as Sephora)
their items are personally curated by two women who have longevity in their careers in the beauty/fashion industry and care about backing products they truly believe in.
This also is probably why they don't have hundreds or thousands of products available for their consumers.
But I am totally ok with that.
If you are like me and prefer spoilers,
scroll to the bottom and watch my haul first lol
Otherwise, enjoy the ride!
So let's get on with it!
Why did I purchase from Glow Recipe?
A: Someone had a birthday coming up (not me)
B: I have been wanting to buy from them.
C: They have youtube videos on how to use the products.
And you are thinking, 'well, why do they need youtube?'
A lot of these products are not translated into English
They are #KBeauty items.
I love how GlowRecipe has a youtube channel and demos their products.
Also, there are tons of fanboys/girls out there that blog/vlog about their products as well.
There are a lot of resources out there for suggested usage.
GlowRecipe shows you how to
mix modeling masks,
use a splash mask,
layer or mix ampoules in a variety of ways,
etc.
My Coworker's birthday was August 7.
I had been working on her present ideas for the past few weeks
and really wanted to get her something in particular from Glow Recipe but wasn't sure of her skin type.
I re-read the reviews and determined that,
yes,
the item I had in mind would be great for her skin type but I wanted to make sure
So I asked
and while I waited for my response, I had already started filling that cart up.
She is a cat lady in training
(she calls herself a cat lady, I'm not being mean!)
so I got her some cat ear headband in white (since her kitty Lucy is white)
It can be like #MommyAndMe

Plus she likes masks, but has told me that they are usually too big for her face
So she has to cut them up.
With that in mind, I decided to look for masks that focus on #undereye treatment
Bc How huge could they be?
I found a bat one!
(She loves #Batman)

Little did I realize they did a video showcasing the Wish Formula's #PandaEyeEssenceMask and #BatEyeEssenceMask

Then she finally replied with,
"...I think my skin is more oily..."
and I was all, 'YAY Let's put this bad boy in the basket and check out!'

Honey Bomb is by far one of the most popular and reviewed products available on Glow Recipe.
Essentially it seems good for any skin type,
but I wanted to see reviews for oily skin types
since both Ari and I have oily skin.
So YAY
I hope she likes it
here are a few videos that feature HoneyBomb reviews
